Trine Pless-Rasmussen PhD, clinical psychologist
Personal profile and experience
I have been working as a psychologist in psychotherapy since 2009, with the first 6 years in private clinics in China. In 2014, I returned to Denmark to work in psychiatric clinics until I opened my own clinic in 2022.
In Shanghai, I worked in an integrated clinic, owned and led by Germans, with clients of multicultural origin. The diagnoses I mainly saw in China were stress and adjustment disorders, relationship issues, stress, depression, anxiety, LGBT-related matters, grief and crisis, substance abuse and suicidal thoughts. I primarily worked with adults, couples, teens and a few families. In China, I pursued my doctoral dissertation about bicultural couples in China (couples of two different nations).
In the Danish psychiatric clinics, I worked with adult outpatients in individual and group therapy. I was responsible for diagnostic assessments, family meetings as well as psychoeducation (diagnose oriented lessons for patients and their families). The diagnosis spectrum I treated was stress and adjustment disorders, PTSD, anxiety, depression, anxious and borderline personality disorders, ADHD, OCD, bipolar and psychotic disorders.
I studied at Universität Zürich, University of Glasgow, Northcentral University and pursued my MS in psychology and PhD in clinical psychology at Walden University, USA.
